Swim Team!

Brent and Jessica have been on a recreational swim team this summer. Here they are competing.

(Just kidding, the boy pictured is really Matt!)

More Pictures of our Great Salt Lake trip

Here are some more pictures from our Great Salt Lake trip on July 18th.

Floating in the Great Salt Lake

Last Saturday (July 18th) we went to Antelope Island (an island in the Great Salt Lake), and went floating. They say it is easy to float in the Great Salt Lake because of the salt content. Well, it is true. Jon and I were able to float with a child on top of us. I had Katie on me, and Jon had Matthew on him.

More beach fun. Brent loved the waves.

Matthew may not look dressed for the beach,

but since he is a red head and burns really easy,

we were letting him stay in a turtle neck and sweats.

He finally figured out that he wanted to wear his

swimsuit towards the end, so we let him change.

The Beach

We saw 2 lighthouses. It was so windy (look at Katie and me). We didn't expect weather like this. It is July, but apparently very typical of the northwest.

More on Oregon Coast visit

Our first tourist visit was Multnohmah Falls. That is the waterfall that is in the movie Twilight. The kids are standing on a bridge that was built in 1917. This is Nickole (my sister) with her kids (Troutmans), the Morgan kid's, the Bosleys, and baby Zuri Ann (Misty's daughter).

Howdy everybody!! My sisters are helping start our blog - finally!! The kids and I are in Washington visiting with all my sisters. Amy and Jodie live up here. Nickole, Heidie, Misty, and I all traveled here. We've done a lot of fun things. We saw Multnohmah Falls, lighthouses, and lots of the beautiful northwest. We toured the Tillamook Cheese Factory, and camped overnight at Cape Lookout. All the cousins had so much fun at the Beach!! They collected shells and sand dollars in the tidepools during lowtide. They saw starfish, sea anemones, and muscles. This was a real treat for Brent! He thought it was amazing!!
The older kids - Brent, Jessica, Josh, and Katie loved playing in the waves. We wished Jon could be with us, since he loves the waves so much.
Saturday we went to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). It was really cool! The kids loved it - particularly Brent. He wants to see it again with his Dad.
